This kaupapa aims to support 8-10 rangatahi Māori (aged 16-30) into regenerative land and sea industry pathways through structured exposure, hands-on experience, and partner-led learning. This free programme is designed to build confidence, capability, and connection to whenua and moana, while identifying clear pathways into employment, training, or further development within the environmental sector. The programme involves two days per week in August (Thursdays and Fridays). Each day comprises of either half or full day wānanga of partner-led hands-on environment experience. The sessions are delivered in partnership with iwi, rūnaka, environmental organisations and industry providers. Valid for Ōtautahi residents only. Registration close at 11:59pm on 16 July 2026. Huge mihi to the Inuit rangatahi group for visiting us at Mahaanui. ❤️ Was incredible to share kai, our shared histories, waiata, and meaningful connections across our cultures and communities. So grateful for the time together and the relationships growing through these exchanges. Ngā mihi nui ki te rōpū Inuit rangatahi mō tō koutou taenga mai ki Mahanui. ❤️ I tiritiri mātou i te kai, ngā kōrero hītori, ngā kata me ngā hononga whai tikanga. He tino harikoa mātou mō te wā i noho tahi ai, me ngā hononga e tipu ake ana i ēnei whakawhitinga. etahi wā kā hono ano matou!
