  • Whakaora Te Waikēkēwai

    Whakaora Te Waikēkēwai is a five-year restoration project focused on revitalising the lower to mid-catchment of Te Waikēkēwai/Waikēkēwai Stream and Te Repo o Papatahora, in tandem with Te Taumutu Rūnanga, whānau, and the Whakaora Te Waikēkēwai project team.

  • Lake Coleridge Tuna Heke Project

    Manawa Energy and NIWA have established a project to trap and transfer migrating tuna from the Lake Coleridge Station inlet to the Rakaia River. 

  • Comprehensive Stormwater Network Discharge Consent (CCC)

    Facilitate responses to the CSNDC (Comprehensive Stormwater Network Discharge Consent) for Ngãi Tahu Papatipu Rūnanga, and coordinate cultural monitoring as part of the CSNDC Environmental Monitoring Programme.

  • Te Niwha Infectious Disease Research

    This project assesses the feasibility of creating a sustainable, community-led infectious disease response plan for Te Pātaka o Rākaihautū and Te Kete Ika o Rākaihautū.

  • Te Mātāwai - Te Reo Māori Research

    This project investigates the current state of Te Reo / Ta Rē, kaupapa rumaki, and investment reach across Te Tai Tonga to inform Te Mātāwai's future investment decisions.

  • ECAN SER and TCCR Compliance Project

    Mahaanui working as an advisor and part of the Smart and Enabling Regulator in the project teams as part of the ECAN compliance improvement work (focusing on inherent risk and consent conditions).

  • Rāpaki Papakaianga Aspirations

    Providing admin support for Te Hapū o Ngati Wheke papakaianga aspirations and discussions with Christchurch City Council (CCC).

  • Canterbury Regional River Gravel Management Strategy (ECan)

    Mahaanui was instrumental in the preparation of this regional strategy through extensive engagement, surveys, and hui with Ngā Papatipu Rūnanga and other stakeholders to integrate cultural and regional interests into gravel management.
