Mahaanui Kurataiao is a resource and environmental management advisory organisation, established in 2007 by six local Papatipu Rūnanga. We work to uphold and enhance mana whenua values across our takiwā, providing guidance and expertise that recognises and protects the cultural and environmental interests of our people and whenua.
Our Services
We offer specialist advisory services to uphold and protect mana whenua values across Te Tai o Mahaanui. From Cultural Monitoring and Cultural Impact Assessments, to Planning and Environmental Services, our team ensures that cultural and environmental considerations are woven into every project.
Iwi Management Plan
The Mahaanui Iwi Management Plan (2013) guides how we care for our land, waters, and taonga. It lays out our collective environmental aspirations, helping ensure tāngata whenua values are preserved and sustained for future generations.
